Sin & Salvation- Part 1

Abstract: The fall of mankind or the humankind into sin brought the curse of death into the whole world, both spiritual (immediate) and physical (come the time appointed). From then on, people would have to labor for their survival. Physical immortality on planet earth was forfeited by mankind. Jesus forgave the sin, but the world acquired all the curses entailed in the commission of the sin.

Has there been any human being who has not sinned at all? Try to think hard about it! Can you think of any humankind who has not committed any sin, ever? When did the first sin incurred by mankind start? And where?

Well, the 1st and 2nd questions are merely restatements of one (synonymous or similar) and the same thought. And indubitably (doubtlessly/certainly), you already know the very answer to it.

Regarding when sin started, the Bible’s accounts in Genesis Chapters 2 & 3 declare to us that it has begun when Eve ate the forbidden fruit that the Lord Jesus told her and her husband Adam not to eat (Genesis 2:16-17; 3:1-13).

Where sin started? Definitely, in the Garden of Eden. Oh, what a mess husband & wife (not husband & husband or wife & wife)- Adam & Eve (neither Adam & Steve, nor Ana & Eve) have brought upon themselves, by sinning against the Mighty (Isaiah 9:6) and the Almighty (Revelation 1:7-8, 11, 17-18; 2:8; 22:12-13, 20) Christ Jesus, thereby opposing the very will of God the Father (Matthew 17:5) & the very witness-affirmation-corroboration-confirmation-attestation-testimony (John 16:7-9; 15:26) and collaboration/cooperation (John 14:26) of God the Holy Spirit.

When Jesus formed/fashioned/created/made Adam & Eve, He (Genesis 1:27) had created them perfectly- sinless, blameless, spotless, very good, just like all other creatures that Jesus have made/created (Genesis 1:31). But before Adam & Eve were created by Jesus (Isaiah 44:24; John 1:3; Colossians 1:16; Revelation 4:11; Ecclesiastes 12:1; Isaiah 54:5; Revelation 19:7, 9; Ephesians 5:23), He had already prepared everything for them. All their food provisions were already prepared (Psalm 103:2, 5). The Garden of Eden was already prepared for Adam & Eve to domicile/inhabit/reside/indwell/dwell in. All their tangible, material, physical, social, emotional needs were already met and provided. Yes, even their spiritual needs! Jesus is the God or Godkind who directly talks and communicates with them.

They don’t have to work for their livelihood or food sustenance in order to live. They would just have to live for Jesus and serve Him lovingly and obediently. In the original state, the “Good” Lord Jesus had programmed and designed mankind or the humankind to live forever (though in the biophysical state), to be immortal, to be deathless.

When Adam & Eve were created, they were subsequently (afterward/later on) placed by the “Good” Lord Jesus Christ in the Garden of Eden- their place of physical abode or physical dwelling place. In the midst of the same Garden, were the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (bearing forbidden fruits) & the tree of life (bearing fruits for physical immortality or physical deathlessness).

For as long as they eat the fruits of the tree of life, they will continually live biophysically or biologically. They will be physically immortal or deathless! The “Good” Lord Jesus have warned them that the moment they get to eat of the forbidden fruits, they will certainly die.

So, we all know the story. Satan (a fallen Archangel), either manifesting as a serpent or temporarily indwelling a serpent, have succeeded in tempting and deceiving Eve, thereby motivating her to eat of the forbidden fruit, who eventually coaxed-cajoled-prompted-urged and influenced her husband Adam into eating the same fruit.

Of course, they didn’t die right there and then, physically! Instead, they underwent spiritual death (or separation from the Lord Jesus Christ). In other words, their right relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ have been breached-broken-transgressed-violated-disregarded and nullified-annulled-voided by Adam and Eve.

Consequently, Jesus cursed Adam & Eve! From then on, Adam would have to labor for himself and his wife, in order to survive (Genesis 3:17-19). Eve would have to suffer a lot, especially in parturition or childbirth plus the fact that her husband Adam must rule over her (Genesis 3:16).

Moreover, they were driven away by the “Good” LORD Jesus from the Garden of Eden. Sequela-ramification-consequence-result-outcome? Adam & Eve can no longer eat of the fruits of the tree of life, thereby forfeiting physical immortality or physical deathlessness, here on planet earth. Thenceforth (thereafter), human existence or human life here on planet earth have been given bounds-boundaries-limits-limitations-extents (Acts 17:26) by the “Good” LORD (Yahweh or Jehovah) Jesus Christ, who created the universe (Hebrews 1:10).

The longest lifespan that a humankind secured here on planet earth? 969 years! The record holder? Methuselah (Genesis 5:27).

Yes, the “Good” LORD (Yahweh or Jehovah) Jesus Christ forgave Adam & Eve from their sins, but they and the whole world incurred-obtained-received the curse of their sin, nonetheless (Romans 5:12).
